Historic Marker Dedication

On July 21, 2021, Colonial Group, Inc. is observing its 100th anniversary by unveiling a historical marker on Charlton St. in cooperation with the Georgia Historical Society, where Colonial’s first service station was located at 342 Drayton St. The company was founded by Raymond M. Demere on July 21, 1921, and has since evolved into a successful family of companies known as Colonial Group, Inc., which is still headquartered in Savannah to this day.
